John Ewans Porting

Director of training and Executive director

John is director of training and the executive director of GIS-International. John is deeply involved in integrating the Gestalt approach and methodology into areas of therapy, teaching, supervision, organizational development and leadership training.

Together with the GIS EEB Educational and Ethical Training Board he is engaged in conducting the training programs in Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland and Sweden.

John is head of PMI-Personal Management Institute that through Gestalt methodology works with Authentic Leadership and Organizational Development. John lives in Denmark.

Katrin Rosental

Course Tutor

Katrin is an experienced clinical psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer. She has a background in being a psychiatrist and has deep interest, knowledge, and skills in the integration of Gestalt in clinical work.

Katrin is a senior leader and supervisor in the GIS-International Training program. She is a member of the EEB, the Educational and Ethical Board. Katrin Lives in Estonia.

Jette Maja Porting

Senior coach and psychotherapist

Jette is an experienced senior coach and psychotherapist. She has been working with both organizations, individuals, couples and groups.

Jette is a trained psychotherapist since 1986 with own practice and she also leads and teaches on the training weeks at the Gestalt Psychotherapist Education. Jette furthermore leads Personal Development courses and seminars at GIS-International.

Jette is member of the GIS-International EEB, the Educational and Ethical Board. Jette lives in Denmark.

Gitte Brinkmann

Gestalt Psychotherapist and Senior Trainer

Gitte is an experienced Gestalt psychotherapist and trainer, supervisor, and organisational consultant. She graduated from GIS in 2017, having an organisational background as line manager and program leader for many years. Gitte has her own practice and works with individual-, couple- and group therapy. She does leadership training and management coaching in authentic leadership.

Gitte is involved in designing and running Gestalt courses and seminars and work as a senior trainer and supervisor in the GIS-International Training Program. She is member of the GIS-International EEB, the Educational and Ethical Board. Gitte lives in Denmark.

Liisa Halonen

Gestalt Psychotherapist and Senior Trainer

Liisa is an experienced Gestalt Psychotherapist from Finland. She graduated at GIS 2005 and has had her own practice since then. Graduated in 2007 as a sex and couple Therapist. Liisa is working both with Individuals, Couples and Groups and as a Supervisor.

Since 2012 Liisa has studied in Italy at Istituto di Gestalt HCC Italy; first the 2-years Education in Psychopathology and later the 2-Years Education for Gestalt Therapists in Supervision. Liisa is one of the trainers and supervisors at GIS since 2015. Liisa lives in Finland.

Anne-Charlotte Grandell

Gestalt Psychotherapist and Senior Trainer

Anne-Charlotte is an educated psychotherapist since 2007. She has her own practice and works with individual-, couple- and group therapy. She is also an experienced supervisor for individuals, organizations and groups. She is a trainer and supervisor in the Gestalt Psychotherapist Education at GIS-International. Located in Finland.

Øystein Rist

Gestalt Psychotherapist and Trainer

Øystein is an experienced Gestalt psychotherapist and organizational consultant. Since graduating from GIS International in 2019, he has run his own private practice, offering individual, couples, and group therapy.

With a background that includes a PhD in science and a career as a researcher, Øystein brings an analytical yet deeply human perspective to his work. In addition to his clinical practice, he is passionate about education; he develops and runs Gestalt courses and serves as a trainer at GIS International. He is member of the GIS-International EEB, the Educational and Ethical Board.

Originating from Norway, Øystein has lived most of his adult life in Denmark.
